Really Engaged Workshop
Congratulations! You’re engaged! This is a great time in your life and should be thoroughly enjoyed, but after the fun and excitement of the announcement dissipates, the real work begins…..preparing for marriage. After all, a marriage proposal is more than a ring and far more than a simple question.
Along with all the wedding details, the engagement stage involves introspection and open communication with your fiancé(e), family and friends. Staying emotionally engaged becomes key! This is a time for a deepening of relationships, and learning about the human and spiritual dimensions of marriage. ***Many couples today are experiencing the benefits of marriage education through premarital counseling and/or workshops. Really Engaged is a practical program that is built on a strong theoretical foundation. It provides couples with opportunities to increase their awareness and understanding of key marital issues and to develop the interpersonal skills essential to strengthen their relationship. Using a Relationship Enhancement ™ (RE) model, this workshop teaches couples specific attitudes, strategies, and skills for navigating life transitions and constructively dealing with difficulties which challenge the quality of marriage. Research has repeatedly demonstrated RE to be the most effective at decreasing risk for future marital distress and increasing intimacy and overall relationship satisfaction. So Why Not Give Your Marriage What It Deserves?
