Realationships Workshop
Women, did you know that having the “relationship talk” does not really help the man in your life like it does for you? Men, did you know that your woman’s complaints are not really about you BUT a plea for connection with you? Recent gender studies about couple conflict tell us that while talking makes women move closer, it usually makes men move away.
And, it has nothing to do with your partner’s lack of interest or poor communication skills! Rather, it’s more about a dynamic or a biological difference of vulnerabilities which takes place between the sexes when they fight. It's called the cycle of fear & shame. The latest neuroscientific research (Stosny et. al) reveals a woman's vulnerability to fear makes her draw closer to her male partner, while a man's sensitivity to shame makes him pull away from her, in return. If misunderstood, however, this creates resentment and affects both passion and love. Seeing this male-female disconnection is the biggest contributing factor where divorce is concerned, this "love beyond words" workshop will help couples understand each other in a brand new way, offering both powerful and practical advice about the behaviours that make and break real-ationships. |
Come and learn:
1. How a woman's anxiety causes his shame and how a man's shame causes her anxiety.
2. Why we are so reactive to Fear and Shame and end up in power struggles and communication breakdown.
3. How to effectively use both emotions-non-verbally-in order to communicate and connect with each other.
4. Why and how "compassion" is the only "real "communication skill you will ever need for your relationship.
