We had a lovely time and spent the rest of the evening discussing how interesting a day it was over a nice dinner and a bottle of wine. We figured we would get started with nurturing coupleship right away!
It was such a positive learning experience spending the day with you and the other couples. The course really confirmed how lucky Carl and I are to have found each other and got us thinking and talking about things we may not have in the past.
I was reading some of the extra material in the folder last night and wanted to know if you had any insightful books to recommend on the issue of strengthening marriages?
Don't be surprised if you hear from us again - not because things are not working but because a refresher on the issues you raised would be a great idea a few years down the road just keep things on the right track.

Nicky & I decided to break up....ha ha of course i'm onlyjoking :) . We had a beautiful time with you that day. We didn't know what to expect at first but we both got something from it for sure. Actually that night, Nicky & I had a spontaneous night and ended up booking a room at the Hotel Vaudreuil after driving back from your place...go figure! thanks again for a lovely time, i'll send you some pics from new years on the ship!

Hi Lydia,
Nick and I just wanted to say Thank you for opening our eyes to listening to each other. On our way back home in the car, we realized how amazing it felt to spend a day thinking about each other for once. In the midst of all the wedding preparations, we lost ourselves or the sight of why we organizing a weddng. It is sooo true, marriage is not about the wedding day, it's about every day after that. We also thought there should be courses offered like this even after we're married and if there are, we would love to attend! Honestly, the topics discussed like household, money,sex and especially inlaws really helped. It was soo funny, the day after we were getting into a disagreement about something and we stopped and used the I phrases and we were listening to each other and it actually worked! I really mean this- thank you for waking us up and realizing that we need to be more open to each other. I really appreciate it.

Thank you so much for helping my boyfriend and I open up to each other a little more. We really needed that. I know we have a solid relationship, but spending that day with you really “freshened” us up. Thanks for the wonderful note - but the thanks should really be attributed to you! Thank you for opening your home to us and making us feel so welcome. Your real life experiences really help brighten our eyes to what we'll be looking forward to everyday for the rest of our lives.
In planning a wedding and planning to move in together we look at all the excitement and how everyday will be full of adventure and positive vibes. I think it's really important that you showed us some of the bumps we may hit and how to prevent issues during major life events. Some of the issues you discuss like taking time for you as a person, yourselves as a couple & as a family really brightened my eyes as to how important constant communication is. With my parents any major issues were very well hidden from us - which was wonderful growing up, but now that I'm older it's as if I wouldn't have realized what to expect.
The beauty of your session was that I think Nick & I realized we already had ourselves moving in the right direction. As always, when 2 people will be coming together, there are issues to resolve but at least now they were flagged in advance and we'll try to be prepared for it.
Another thing that your session showed me is that you shouldn't be afraid to go for help. Let's be honest, your friends and family can only give you the advice they know, whereas professional help might be able to trigger issues before they become problems.
Again thank you so much, we had a wonderful time. You have a wonderful family & a beautiful home.

We really enjoyed the workshop, we liked the way you integrated your personal history and I especially liked the way you allowed us to share our thoughts and voice our opinions. I wanted to tell you what a wonderful time Tony and I had on Saturday. Tony and I spoke and agreed that you are one of the most nicest individual that we have met. It was so enjoyable and I feel that Tony and I are already benefiting from being able to speak openly about certain areas of our relationship. I am so sorry it took me so long to respond, but things have been just nuts arond here!
First of all, let me say that your Powerpoint had Kevin and I in stitches when we watched it! PRICELESS!!! We loved every second of it!
Secondly, I want to let you know that we had a great time at your place that day. Not only did it give us a chance to learn many little tips that we would have never thought of on our own, but you made us feel so comfortable and welcome and that really allowed us to be ourselves and benefit from our session with you. Of course, I won't lie, Jethro & ElleMae took the spotlight that day, but regardless, we really did enjoy our session and both of us agree that we would definetly come back in the future.
I would wish you good luck in your future in media, but I am confident that you will knock them dead! If ever you need a testimonial or anything of that sort, please don't hesitate to ask because ou definetly have our support!
One last thing, if you hear of some Bernese pups from you breeder friend, please let me know. Kevin and I are very eager to become parents : )

Angela and I have been talking about our experience with you on Saturday the entire weekend with family and friends. We will surely send our future engaged friends your way. We really learned a lot more about each other this weekend and it really affirmed our love and future life together. The course is really well set up taking us through the important aspects in a marriage and you also gave us a few tricks and tools on how to help and understand each other during our marriage. Sorry for not replying sooner, but I just handed in my dissertation so I now have the time to write a proper thanks. Lydia, both Joe and I felt so blessed to have met you. We felt so comfortable the moment we met you, and like you said, it's like we had known each other a long time! That comfort that we felt, and your extremely open nature, allowed us to remain true to ourselves and express our questions, feeling, and concerns without that feeling of being judged. I am sure all the couples that joined us on Saturday felt the same. It is undoubtedly a testament to the warm and caring person that you are!
Joe and I walked away from that Saturday feeling stronger as a couple. You offered helpful advice that has already made an impact in our dealing with some stressful situations. Thank-you for that! We look forward to hearing all about your new adventures in creating your couple workshops so please, keep us in the loop! We always look for new things that make our life together more enjoyable and exciting!
